The fear spans age, race, schooling, all linessex and career as I will show in this guide. Subjects were asked whether they were afraid to walk alone within a mile from it through the night. You may be surprised by the results. They will clearly demonstrate that fear of walking alone at night is one of the most common fears among Americans.

Based on the latest information available, only 19% of all men surveyed said they felt safe walking alone around their own neighborhood. In stark comparison, 47 percent of all women surveyed said they felt walking. Looking back in the earliest numbers readily available illustrates this response is standard. Just 20% of men felt safe walking at night verses an 59% for women.

Showed the most fear. 71 percent of those surveyed in this class were fearful. The least fearful group was 18-20 year-old individuals. 59% of this group was afraid of walking during the nighttime.

People in the Clerical/Support area were not as inclined to be fearful at night as far as professions go . Just over half stated they were reluctant to walk alone at night in about their own neighborhood. Those in the Manual/Service area were likely to be afraid74%.
