5 Methods to Drive Traffic Away From A Website

5 Ways To Drive Visitors Away From Your Website

There are a lot of resources available that will teach you how to make money online. Heck, I’ve written tutorials just like that myself. But , perhaps it’s easier to demonstrate what to do, with a lesson on what to not. This article is going to educate you on how to drive traffic away from your site yelling “Get me outta here!” Should you would rather be alone with your site and do not desire dozens of pesky traffic bothering you, then then follow the guidelines below and you’re going to get rid of them quick like a breeze.

TIP! To help increase your online presence consider using social media. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn will help you build business presence both online and offline.

1. Do not say on your own site what you do or what you sell. Make it a complete mystery why you decided to build your site in the first location. It is like a secret center any visitors are abandoned in the dark. Have you ever been to sites similar to this where you show up and think “What the hell is the website about?” If you’re not introducing a clear statement concerning why your visitors have to spend their money (or at least keep coming again), then you are in your path to hermit-land.

TIP! One of the primary ways you can manage your reputation is to claim your business brand online and take charge of the content about you. Use either KnowEm.

2. Overwhelm visitors with a great deal of information. Nearly as bad because the “What the hell is the site about?” Oh my Gracious!” Web sites. As a visitor, you realize the internet sites I am discussing. The page opens and your jaw drops. There is actually a sea of banners, with links everywhere and articles galore. Where do you move? What should you really do? I’ll let you know what I really do. Click on the small “x’ in the upper righthand corner to get the heck outta there!

TIP! Have a portfolio of websites you can optimize with search engines. It will seem natural to try and make your business website the number one search listing for your business name, when used as a search query.

3. Create the ordering process quite complicated. There’s nothing I love more than putting items into my shopping cart and then spending 20 minutes trying to determine how to set up a merchant accounts and pay. Guess what? I sure do not click the ‘contact us’ button. I click on the “x” alternatively. You have succeeded in getting rid of another pesky customer who wanted to spend money.

4. Fill your website with outdated information and broken links. Pfshew. You dodged a guest with that certain. They clicked a link which was broken — and they went.

TIP! Establishing a strong presence in social media will help improve the reputation of your business. Creating a Twitter account, blog or Facebook page will help your interaction with prospects and customers.

5. Make sure that there’s no way for a curious customer or business partner to contact you. Heaven forbid, you might find some good spam if you have your contact info in your own site.

Thank heavens you really don’t have those gosh-darned customers exposing you while you’re attempting to see on Brad Pitt’s love life.

Clearly, I’m being ridiculous, but you really do realize that these instances are true. You have seen websites that seem as though they are trying to drive you away. If you are spending some time and energy putting up a site to earn dollars, then, make some money. You can certainly do it!
